November 14, 2006Chicago-area black metal act NACHTMYSTIUM's album "Instinct: Decay" (Battle Kommand Records) has been nominated for "Metal Album of the Year" by the Plug Independent Music Awards. NACHTMYSTIUM recently commenced recording its part of an upcoming split album with fellow countrymen LEVIATHAN, slated for an early 2007 release via Southern Lord. The newly recorded material is said to bring NACHTMYSTIUM's core elements of aggression, despondency, and dissonance to new depths. Sessions will continue during December with longtime producer/engineer Chris Black at the controls.
Wasting no time after storming Brooklyn with DEICIDE and EMBALMER in October, the band has lined up the following live dates for December:
Dec. 13 - Wallingford, CT - American Legion Hall
Dec. 15 - Brooklyn, NY - Northsix
Dec. 16 - Philadelphia, PA - The Khyber
Dec. 20 - Dekalb, IL – Otto's
Dec. 21 - Chicago, IL - Empty Bottle
